SCA2027 Call for Workshop Proposals

SCA2027 welcomes the submission of workshop proposals. Through technical presentations, invited talks, and/or panels, we hope these workshops will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and to foster in-depth technical discussions among attendees.

Workshop Proposals Deadline: 17 September 2026 (AoE)

Workshop Notification of Acceptance: 24 September 2026 (AoE)

Workshop Paper Deadline: 24 November 2026 (AoE)

Workshop Paper Notification of Acceptance: 8 December 2026 (AoE)

Camera-ready Paper Deadline: 20 December 2026 (AoE)

Conference: 1 – 4 March 2027 (SGT)

Workshop Dates: 1 and 4 March 2027 (SGT)

| Proposal Format

 

  1. Title of the workshop (full name and abbreviation)
  2. Objectives, scope, and contribution to the main conference (up to 1 page)
  3. Short bio of the key organizer(s)
  4. Workshop structure
    • Duration: half-day or full-day
    • Contents: reviewed papers, invited talks, panels, etc.
  5. Outline for selecting papers (if applicable)
    • Publication plan
    • Schedule for paper selection (from paper submission to collection of camera-ready versions of accepted papers)
    • A tentative list of program committee members
    • Management of submissions and review process (e.g., management tool)
  6. Outline of contents other than reviewed papers (if applicable)
    • A tentative list of invited speakers and expected topics
    • bopics of panels and a tentative list of panelists
    • Other supplementary remarks
  7. Past experience (if applicable)
  8. Expected number of participants

| Workshop Facility

SCA 2027 will provide one room for each accepted workshop. The available time slots are:

Half-day: 

9:30 am – 12:30 pm 

1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Full-day: 

9:30 am – 12:30 pm 

1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

A projector and screen will be provided in each workshop room.


All presenters, including those in workshops, are required to attend and present in person. However, organizers may opt to hold workshops in a hybrid format that allows for remote viewing. Please note that SCA 2027 will not provide the equipment or online meeting tools needed for hybrid formats—organizers must make their own arrangements.
SCA 2027 will be accepting Workshop papers in the Conference Proceedings.

SCA will also offer access to a paper review management system (Linklings) if needed.

| Organizer Responsibilities

Each accepted workshop organizer is responsible for the successful execution of their workshop, including the following:

 

  • Attend and operate the workshop in person.
  • Create a workshop website that displays the location, time, and program.
 

If selecting papers:

  • Distribute a Call for Papers to appropriate mailing lists.
  • Manage the full peer-review process.
  • Prepare the publication materials.
  • Follow the paper selection timeline:
    • Close paper submissions after 24 November 2026.
    • Send author notifications by 8 December 2026.
    • Collect camera-ready papers by 20 December 2026.
 
 

| Fees and Registration

SCA 2027 attendees can participate in workshops at no additional cost.

As such, there will be no “Workshop Only” registration option, and there will be no financial support (e.g., registration fee waivers or travel expense coverage) for workshop organizers.

| Review of Submissions

Workshop proposals will be peer-reviewed by the committee listed below. The selection process will be fair and uniform, evaluating both prior performance (if applicable) and proposal quality. All workshops will undergo the same competitive, single-anonymous peer-review process.
