SupercomputingAsia 2023 (SCA23) conference announces recipients of annual SCA Awards and launch of the Data Mover Challenge 2023

The SupercomputingAsia Conference recognised key high performance computing (HPC) pioneer-leaders with its annual SCA23 Awards. The international Data Mover Challenge 2023 (DMC23) was also launched at the conference.

 

 



Singapore’s national supercomputer to be used in student education and upskilling of professionals to support future jobs

NSCC, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Institute of Technical Education, Singapore Institute of Technology, AI Singapore and the Institution of Engineers, Singapore, sign MOUs to explore new training methods, courses and curricula which will leverage the power of a supercomputer. Singapore’s newest national supercomputer, the ASPIRE 2A, is also now ready to support this initiative as well as meet the advanced research needs of Singapore’s scientific community across a wide array of fields.

NCI and NSCC Sign Memorandum of Understanding

The national supercomputer and big data facilities of Australia and Singapore, the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI Australia), and the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC) are building on their already close partnership to deepen their joint activities into areas that will further improve technology, software development, staff and user training, and data sharing for both organisations over the next three years.

 

 

SupercomputingAsia 2022 (SCA22) conference announces annual SCA Awards and winners of the Data Mover Challenge 2021

The SupercomputingAsia Conference recognised key HPC pioneer-leaders with its annual SCA22 Awards. The winning teams from Asia, Australia and the US were also announced at the awards ceremony for the international Data Mover Challenge 2021 (DMC21) competition.

New public-private partnership in supercomputing to support advanced healthcare research, and more, in Singapore

NSCC, SingHealth and NVIDIA have collaborated to develop a research ecosystem of hardware and software tools to support healthcare and medical research at Singapore’s largest public healthcare cluster. These include a new supercomputer and access to advanced software, training and high-performance computing (HPC)-enabled pre-trained AI models to significantly accelerate large-scale and complex healthcare research.
